Approximately 400 students participate in the summer program and 200 students live in SVA housing.Students living in housing during the program must be mature, responsible and ready for the creative and personal freedom this program allows.
The program is further enhanced by a robust offering of evening and weekend chaperoned activities and events that take full advantage of the social and cultural life of New York City.Want to stay informed about important scholarship and registration deadlines? Students learn to see and comprehend from visual experiences through experimentation with different drawing tools and techniques from historical practices, while learning how to translate three-dimensional objects to two-dimensional images on paper.Graphic Design Instructor: Nicole Hauch The computer is a tool of visual communication and a medium of artistic expression.MIAD's Summer Pre-College is an intense, immersive, and exciting exploration of visual art and design for high school age students.Taught by MIAD faculty, this is an opportunity to create art all day, every day, and experience a college-level curriculum.
